Creative Movement Lab
We’ll begin with a focused warm-up and technique session, where participants can also ask questions and work on individual technical requests. Once the body is fully prepared, we’ll transition into a creative laboratory dedicated to movement research and artistic expression….

Tribal Bellies 2026
On August 29th, Elizabeth Khard will be coming to our area for the day to teach and headline our show for Tribal Bellies. Elizabeth is well-known for her costumes she makes herself, her proficiency in fusion style belly dance, and her ability with isolations and fluidity. She has performed all across the country and is in high demand to teach at festivals throughout the United States. This will be her first time coming to teach near Philadelphia.

On May 1, the chosen creator shares the task for May 2 and passes the relay to the next person – and so on

I’m inviting you into a deeper creative process designed to help you create your own unique solo — from the very first idea all the way to performance.
The course includes:

• Optional individual coaching sessions throughout July
• Optional final showcase performance on July 26

Showcase: The Pulse of Passion
Get ready for an unforgettable night of movement, magic, and pure emotion at JBelly’s 4th Annual Student–Professional Showcase: The Pulse of Passion — نبض الشغف (pronounced Nabd ish-shaghaf), coming to New York Live Arts on February 7th, 2026.
This year’s theme is inspired by the heartbeat of dance itself. In Levantine Arabic, Nabd means pulse, the rhythm that lives inside us — and ish-shaghaf means passion, the fire that drives what we love. Together, “The Pulse of Passion” reflects the emotional spark that transforms movement into meaning.
